What is House of Polvoron?

House of Polvoron (HOP) is a polvoron specialty store proudly made in the Philippines. It is manufactured by MOTZ FOOD PRODUCTS (MFP), which has been making the best tasting polvoron (powdered milk candies) since 1988.

Brief History

MFP started making polvoron in 1988 when proprietors Medardo “Ding” Caliwara and Rosalinda "Rose" Caliwara realized the demand for their unique tasting pastry. They resigned from full time, 8 to 5 work to answer the call for enterpreneurship.

From its humble beginnings, the original 2-man staff organization has grown significantly through the years. It now provides employment and accommodation for its stay-in employees. The company currently holds office and houses its production in Sucat, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

In 20 years of operation, MFP has increased its consumer base and is gradually gaining recognition for its great tasting polvoron in both domestic and international markets.

Where can you find HOP?

The first HOP mall cart opened in SM Megamall in 2003. At present, HOP has 4 mall branches located in SM Megamall (G/F Bldg A), Glorietta 4 Food Choices, Trinoma and Market Market. It is also distributed through major super markets such as SM Supermarket, Snack Exchange, Hypermarket, Savemore, Robinson’s Supermarket, Pioneer Center, Metro Gaisano in Metro Manila and in key cities in the provinces.

What makes HOP special?

MFP takes pride in the unique and delectable taste of HOP polvoron. To ensure only the best quality is served to consumers, only all natural ingredients are used. HOP does not contain artificial colors and flavors. Each raw material is carefully selected, and cooked to perfection to guarantee customer satisfaction.

HOP is the only polvoron specialty store in the country today. It offers a wide range of polvoron variants. No other local store specializes in polvoron like HOP. It strives to continuously deliver the best tasting polvoron to its customers, both in local and international market.
